Domenico Bergamin takes over the management of Lenzerheide Marketing und Support AG

Due to cancer, Bruno Fläcklin will leave the operational business of Lenzerheide Marketing und Support AG (LMS AG) on December 1, 2020 and dedicate himself fully to his recovery. Fläcklin, the tourism director of the Lenzerheide holiday region, is known to have cancer. The diagnosis was made at the beginning of 2019. Since then, Fläcklin has mastered various chemotherapies and now, after finding new cancer cells, decided together with his family on a new treatment method, a stem cell transplant. As a result of this decision, Fläcklin will be out of action for at least six months. “During this time, both my team and the destination need a contact person,” says Fläcklin.

For example, Domenico Bergamin was temporarily elected as managing director on the occasion of the extraordinary board meeting on Monday, October 19, 2020. The 39-year-old Lenzerheidner has a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in sports science and is ready to take on the new challenge in a somewhat special winter ahead. As a lecturer and project manager at the Institute for Tourism and Leisure at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, he gained his first managerial experience. Until the end of September 2020, he managed tourism offer development and strategy projects at home and abroad for the creative agency Steiner Sarnen Schweiz AG.

During the absence of Bruno Fläcklin, Domenico Bergamin forms the management of LMS AG together with Marc Schlüssel, Head of Marketing, Communication, Event Support and takes on numerous projects. Ernst “Aschi” Wyrsch, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LMS AG, is convinced that “Domenico Bergamin knows the Lenzerheide holiday region and its service providers very well and has the necessary maturity and specialist knowledge to undertake this demanding management task as an interim solution.” Before the official start of the job on January 1, 2021, an orderly handover with Bruno Fläcklin will take place in December 2020. A gradual return to his work is planned from July 2021. The board of directors will determine the current position together with Fläcklin every quarter and determine the further course of action.
