DOM builds streets in the cantons of El Gavilán and Alto El Roble, in La Unión – Diario La Página – 2024-04-15 17:25:12

The Government of the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele Ortez, through the Directorate of Municipal Works (DOM), will benefit more than 1,200 people from the El Gavilán and Alto El Roble cantons of the El Carmen district with a renewal of the road network rural area of ​​this area of ​​the municipality of La Unión Sur.

DOM crews began this weekend with the transformation of 2.6 kilometers of dirt streets where, according to preliminary studies, the placement of a hydraulic concrete surface was determined.

DOM executives said that the work includes the leveling of the road, construction of a sub-base, cement soil base and a concrete layer. Among other protection works, longitudinal drainage and ditches will be built.

At the beginning of 2023, the Municipal Works Directorate delivered more than 1.7 kilometers of renovated streets, with asphalt surface, in the urban area of ​​El Carmen and other roads that connect to surrounding cantons.

In the urban and rural area of ​​La Unión, renovated streets have also been delivered in Conchagua, San Alejo, Bolívar, while similar works are progressing in Polorós, Anamorós, Pasaquina, Santa Rosa de Lima, Lislique and Intipucá.

Among other works, a modern clinic has already been delivered to the inhabitants of the San José La Fuente district, and other projects are advancing, such as the construction of a market, a school, and rural and urban streets in Concepción de Oriente.

In the cantons of La Paz and La Rinconada, in the district of Bolívar, drinking water projects are advancing, such as on Isla Meanguera del Golfo, where a desalination plant is being built to benefit more than 3,000 inhabitants of that place located in the Gulf of Fonseca. .
