The digital book presentation will take place this Thursday, August 8, at 6:00 p.m., at the El Palacio de los Gurza Museum of History and Contemporary Art: “An actress, a star and a supportive companion: Dolores del Río”, by Ana Salinas Alverdi and Jehiely Hernández Correa.
With free admission for the general public, the authors and researchers from the National Institute for Historical Studies of the Mexican Revolutions (INEHRM) will share how to download the text for free, details of its content as well as the anecdotes they had to overcome to produce the text.
In five chapters, appendices and consulted sources, the authors make a detailed and chronological journey through the life and work of the world-renowned actress, Dolores del Rio, highlighting an entire chapter on another little-explored and known area of the artist entitled: A unionist woman (ANDA) and defender of Mexican culture, 1960-1980, where they address the public presence of Dolores del Río at a national and international level.
The text was edited by the National Institute for Historical Studies of the Mexican Revolutions (INEHRM), an institution of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico and the Institute of Culture of the State of Durango (ICED).
It should be noted that this activity is part of the second edition of the Dolores del Río Mexican Film Festival, which will be held by the Institute of Culture of the State of Durango (ICED), in which once again a well-deserved tribute is paid to the leading actress Dolores del Río.
