Dolly Parton fans who fear the 77-year-old will retire quietly and rest on her laurels can breathe a sigh of relief.
The artist who, among other things, wrote the classic “I Will Always Love You” has made it absolutely clear in an interview with Greatest Hits Radio that retirement is not for her.
– I will never retire. I just hope I drop dead on stage in the middle of a song one day. Hopefully during a song I’ve written myself, says Parton.
– This is how I hope to spend the evening, because I have no other choice, she says.
And it’s not only on stage that fans can continue to enjoy Dolly Parton. She is currently working on a new album, this time in the rock genre, with the title “Rockstar”. It is scheduled to be launched on 17 November.
On the album, she has included a wide range of guest artists, including Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran and Rob Halford from the metal band Judas Priest.
