Given this situation, the Manager of the Bank of the Republic, Juan José Echavarría, the Minister of Finance Alberto Carrasquilla and the Financial Superintendent, Jorge Castaño met emergency to analyze the economic and financial situation, following recent developments on the external front, the fall in the price of oil and the deterioration of international financial markets, in the context of the International health emergency

After the meeting, the following conclusions were reached:

one. The basics of Colombian economy remain solid and allow the external shocks described to be absorbed without severe trauma to real activity and financial stability.

two. The financial system has adequate indicators of solvency, liquidity and risk management and with the ability to absorb significant market, liquidity and credit risk shocks, which are permanently simulated by the Coordination and Monitoring Committee of the Financial System.

3. Global conditions have deteriorated rapidly and lThe exchange rate is predictably responding to these changes.

Four. Continuous monitoring will be maintained on the following fronts: the liquidity and volatility of the exchange market, the conditions of internal and external liquidity and the possible fiscal implications.

5. The authorities will take the relevant actions in a coordinated manner and decisions will be announced jointly and timely.
