DOKKUM – A fire broke out at the Dongeraheem residential and care center in Dokkum at the end of the afternoon on Tuesday. A fire had started in a room in the complex on Dongeradyk. The wing in which the room is located was evacuated.
Acted quickly
As a precaution, the fire brigade took several vehicles to the scene of the fire. Not much later the fire was out and the situation was under control. No one was injured in the fire.
Follow-up check
The fire brigade carried out a follow-up check and they ventilated the room. Then they could return to the barracks.
Ambulance vast
An ambulance was also called to the scene just to be on the safe side. Fortunately, their efforts turned out not to be necessary. Unfortunately, they could not return to their post quickly, they got stuck in the grass.
