The poor four-legged friend is a black, female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The bitch was wrapped in towels that were covered in blood. Presumably she was first stabbed, then she was thrown in the garbage can.
The approximately two-year-old bitch had several stab wounds on the side, reports the news portal Manchester Evening News.

But that’s not all: Vets suspect that she may have had puppies shortly before, because the bitch’s teats were significantly enlarged. But who the owner is has so far remained unknown. The bitch was neither chipped nor tattooed.
Experts currently suspect that the animal was bleeding to death as the cause of death. This is indicated by the amount of blood on the towels.
The animal probably knew its tormentor: “The injuries were all on one side, it seems as if the dog did not defend itself against the attack,” says the inspector Deb Beats, who is responsible for the case.
The police are now looking for witnesses to the crime against the dog.
