A big scare for this 7-year-old boy, attacked by a dog, Monday August 26 around 9 p.m. While the town of Saint-Georges-d’Orques (Hérault) is celebrating, the boy is bitten in the face by a border collie.
According to information confirmed by the gendarmerie, the dog escaped from its owners’ home and attacked the boy in circumstances that are still unclear. Witness accounts give several different versions. One thing is certain, however, it was a municipal police officer on duty who subdued the animal that was biting the child on the cheek. Emergency services and the gendarmes then arrived.
The boy was taken to the emergency room immediately. He got away with three stitches in his face, and is doing well today. For their part, the owners reported to the police and were heard. Their dog is being placed in isolation while the tests are being imposed on him.
