Dogs and cats don’t get along. At least that is the popular belief. A puppy and a cat now prove the opposite.
They are like fire and water: When a dog sees a cat, it starts barking and would like to chase it forever, whereby the cat supposedly only smirks at this game. This is how many people imagine the relationship between dogs and cats. The animals rarely get along well with each other in everyday life. But there are exceptions, as a TikTok user has now recorded on a video.
5-month-old dog meets a cat for the first time
TikTok user Ksenia has witnessed a very rare moment: her six-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy bumps into a cat while out for a walk and the two instantly hit it off. The little cat keeps running around the dog, who in turn patiently bends his head down and lets the cat dance around him.
At first, Ksenia was skeptical, because according to her statement, her young dog is a rather aggressive contemporary, especially when playing with other dogs – the puppy could have scared the little cat very easily, especially since he had never had contact with a cat before. But the opposite is the case: the two get along wonderfully.
Now Ksenia regularly walks her puppy in this place, and every time the little cat reappears to play with her dog.

This peaceful and friendly behavior of the two animals caused a storm of excitement among Ksenia’s TikTok users:
