At stake in court is the million-dollar legacy of the late André Hazes Sr., who passed away in 2004. Daughter Roxeanne, who could not be seen in court for the time being, has filed a lawsuit against her mother Rachel, who she believes is not the rightful heir. Roxeanne is not alone in this: she went to court together with the testamentary administrator Rob Israël, who had to supervise his inheritance after the death of André Hazes sr.
When their father dies, both Roxeanne (11) and André Jr. (10) are minors, which means that they cannot inherit directly from him. Therefore, at that time they receive a claim on their share of the inheritance. But: according to Roxeanne and the former administrator, Rachel is not entitled to the inheritance of André Hazes senior in any case. For that they refer to his will. It would contain the clause that Rachel cannot inherit from André senior if they are separated at the time of his death or if divorce proceedings have been started.
