– We have local measures in some municipalities today, we believe that is what is right given the information and overview today. I will not launch new national measures at the press conference today, Kjerkol says kanal.
The Minister of Health is clear on what is needed before the government introduces national measures:
– Then you look at the whole more than infection numbers: Number of hospital admissions, pressure on the local health and care service. There are several criteria that professionals have a good overview of. They say today that there is no need for national, more intrusive measures at this time. We are happy about that.
The same is said by FHI director Camilla Stoltenberg during Politisk kvarter on NRK on Thursday morning.
Stoltenberg says the infection has increased the most in Troms and Finnmark, Oslo and Viken. In terms of numbers, the increase is greatest in Oslo and Viken.
– We must remember the most important advice. One is to get vaccinated. There are still just under 400,000 who are 16 years or older who have not been vaccinated. There are great opportunities to vaccinate even more, says Stoltenberg.
Vaccine researcher: – Unnecessary with measures
In the last 24 hours, 1,180 corona infections have been registered in Norway. That is 523 more than the same day last week. In the last seven days, an average of 796 corona infections have been registered per day.
The corresponding average seven days ago was 447, so the trend is rising. On Wednesday, 101 corona patients were hospitalized. There were five fewer than the day before.
