– Does not appear to be real – VG

OSLO AIRPORT: The photo was taken by one of the passengers on the aircraft in question.

A Norwegian plane that came from Trondheim to Gardermoen has received a bomb threat by telephone on Christmas Eve.

Press officer Cathrine Framholt in Avinor confirms to VG that there has been a bomb threat against the aircraft in question.

She refers to the police for further comments.

The situation has not been clarified.

– I can confirm that earlier today we received a bomb threat. It was flight DY757 between Trondheim – Oslo, says Eline Hyggen Skari in Norwegian at 13.35 to VG.

– The plane has landed in Oslo. This is now a police matter, and further questions must be directed to the police about the incident.

– Have people been evacuated from the plane?

– The plane has landed, and the passengers are on their way out of the plane now.

– Safety is our highest priority and we have good routines for this.

She further states that there were 107 passengers on the plane, in addition to the crew.

Not considered serious

The operations manager in the Eastern police district, Terje Skaftnes, informs VG that the threat came from a caller to Norwegian.

He further says that the police have not considered the threat serious.

– It does not appear to be real, says Skaftnes.

It is an assessment made by the police, whether a threat is specific or non-specific. The fact that it is considered non-specific means that we do not implement so many measures.

The police will still investigate the case.

– It will be followed up, says Skaftnes.

The case is being updated.
