Despite their separation, there are still good feelings between them.
After being married for three years (and knowing each other for a few more), Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux called it quits in 2018. Unlike many other couples, the two actors have maintained respect for each other. Even though they’re no longer together, Theroux is still keeping a close eye on Aniston’s life, so much so that he’s voiced his opinion on her political stance in recent months.
It was last June when the actress had a strong response to an old video of Senator JD Vance, who is currently on Donald Trump’s team and could be vice president of the United States if the tycoon wins the election. Referring to Kamala Harris, who does not have children, and is also running for president, she said that the country was under the government of “a group of childless cat women”Aniston did not remain silent, and this is how she responded:

“Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is lucky enough to have her own children one day. I hope she doesn’t need to resort to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her as well. I can’t believe this is coming from a potential Vice President of the United States.”
The topic was very personal for the protagonist of Friendssince she did not have children biologically, and tried – unsuccessfully – to resort to treatments to become a mother. These did not bear the expected results. For her words, Jennifer Aniston received all kinds of comments, from support to severe criticism, but she did not doubt her position.
“She is still very dear to me, so of course I feel very protective. But she has rejected the criticism as well as she could,” Theroux said when asked about the subject (via).
On more than one occasion, Justin has pointed out that after the divorce, the two have an excellent relationship. They don’t spend as much time together as before, but they do keep in touch enough to show their affection.
“I would say we remain friends. We don’t talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text. Like it or not, we didn’t have that dramatic breakup and we love each other. I’m sincere when I say I value our friendship,” she revealed to PEOPLE in 2021.
During the years they were together, Jennifer Aniston was questioned for not becoming a mother. The media took advantage of every appearance of the couple to ask why they did not have children. When pressed, this is how Aniston responded in an essay for HuffPost.
“Every day, my husband and I are harassed by dozens of aggressive photographers stationed outside our home who will do anything they can to get any kind of photograph, even if it means endangering us or any unfortunate pedestrians nearby. This is where I address this issue: we are complete with or without a partner, with or without a child.”
Theroux is currently engaged to Nicole Brydon Bloom, whom he has been dating since 2023. He took advantage of the promotion of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in Italy to ask her to become his wife.
