Sports director Leonardo now expects a timely decision from his world champion. “Before that, our talks were mainly about making our position clear and showing what we want,” emphasized the 51-year-old in an interview with France Blue: “I think we have now reached a point where we have to make a final decision.” At the same time, the Brazilian attested that both parties had “a good dialogue”.

In the contract talks with Mbappe’s strike partner Neymar, who is also still tied to the Parisians until 2022, the French series champion is “on the right track”.
