/ world today news/ Vasil Georgiev invites me to comment on Plevneliev’s speech in the EP.
Here is my answer.
***
The speech in question is full of clichés and platitudes.
It lacks even a single original, fresh thought.
And this is not surprising.
“Be banal, but devoted!” – this is Plevneliev’s motto.
***
By the way, this is how he would have spoken if it had not been for the Coup of November 10, 1989 – and as an honest, diligent Komsomol secretary at the district level, he would have poured out the same loyalist clichés, only addressed to the Soviet Union.
***
This guy acts like a hawk, but he’s a jackass.
Obviously, he has already become completely infantile in the idea of his own persona.
And he doesn’t even care if it corresponds to reality.
Reading his speech, he must have dreamed of being a second, Bulgarian Schuman, as a person who will stop the disintegration processes in the European Union, etc.
Probably, we don’t even realize how far his fantasies extend.
***
In the fall, we will be deprived of a very entertaining spectacle.
Because if they had pushed him for a second term, if this miracle could happen, everyone would have seen what a fiasco Plevneliev would have suffered – regardless of his comical fluff.
However, at whose expense is this spending – that is the main question.
***
He will also embarrass the next president in front of our new scumbags – because everyone else will look far less servile and altogether too normal in the face of his militant mediocrity.
There are rules he doesn’t seem to have heard of – one of them being that even hostility towards an opponent must be kept within certain limits.
The other is provincial insolence.
***
However, for our political Sect at the moment, Plevneliev is extremely convenient – because he diligently obsessed and even more diligently fulfills the role of the Chief Bulgarian Scammer.
In this respect he is inimitable.
He surpassed all his Bulgarian competitors – even to them, to people like Passi, for example, and the others, surely his behavior seems too indecent to them.
And they let him crow all the time, like some mad rooster, until his voice is completely gone.
***
Finally, however – finally what will our political Sect do – how will it pass from this mode of crowing to a mode of measured speech?
Because Plevneliev raised the “art” of political slander to unsuspected heights.
***
Bill “proud pro-European president” – look at this nonsense from all sides and have fun.
***
While Pl. floats as if lost in the clouds, they removed the word “friend” from the text for the seventh-graders’ exam – they thought that the students would not understand it.
And our man has taken care of comradeship in space.
***
Plevneliev is the face of false vanity.
And he will never mention anything about the Bulgarian Destiny.
***
I wonder if he realizes how he looks in the eyes of others – when he gives advice to the “Great Powers” not to resort to new Yalta agreements?
And who encourages him, who is his evil genius – or is he just a product of his unstoppable drive to serve?
Although, unfortunately for him, no one in the world cares what a bewildered Bulgarian gurgle chirps.
***
Plevneliev is the most vivid testimony of the immaturity of the Bulgarian political Sect.
Only with such immaturity is it possible for some random person – running through the role of an astrologer/fortune teller, rolling around in German “parking lots”, making money in an unknown way – to suddenly reach the most representative post in a country.
This flaw is the cause of the Sect’s failures.
***
Finally, I ask myself, without being a prisoner of conspiracy theories, is it not stimulated in some way by Russia?
Because with his systematic slander against her, he only strengthens the Russophile tendencies in our country – this is what all the recent studies testify to.
***
And how will he be rewarded, how will he be paid – with what post, after his presidential affair is over?
***
This was the only thing that our unfortunate country lacked – to have a president who cared about Europe and the world and who, when he touched Bulgaria, would spew nonsense, not even feeling sorry for Levski.
***
Plevneliev wants us to see him as a hero who carried the globe on his back.
How this sight cries for the genius of cartoonist Boris Dimovski!
