The controversial Freestyle is supposed to start in Upper Austria on January 15th and last until January 17th. But many questions have not yet been clarified.
From Monday you can register for the new mass tests in Upper Austria, which will take place between December 15th and 17th.
In Upper Austria, 152 test stations with a total of 664 test roads (as of January 3) are available on these three days. It is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
From Monday, January 4th, you can register for these population tests in Upper Austria (except Linz) at www.österreich-testet.at possible. Registration for Linzers is on the website www.linz.at/coronavirus.php possible.
With these tests you should be able to “free” yourself prematurely from the currently applicable lockdown. The legal basis for this and the resolution in parliament are currently missing. Above all, the opposition does not want to approve the amendment to the epidemic law on Monday, and the regulation to implement it is still missing.
However, the government’s plan is: if you can’t show a negative test result after January 17th, you have to wear an FFP2 mask in shops. For everyone who can be tested and are negative, the lockdown should be over on January 18th, for everyone else it is still valid until January 24th.
In gastronomy, according to the government’s plan, you can consume something with a one-week-old corona test from January 18, for all other facilities the test will be a maximum of 48 hours old.
Tests possible this week as well
And yet you can still register for a free antigen test between January 4th and 15th. Because the offer of the country will be retained.
Why is this being done despite the mass tests that are already pending? It has already been seen in the past few weeks that there is high demand for such an offer, according to the country’s crisis team “Today”-Demand.
The question remains: does a test that I take today already apply to the “free test”?
Answer: it can be, but it is still unclear. Details must be regulated by the federal ordinance. And this regulation will only be available later this week.
There will be some sort of deadline, the Ministry of Health was opposed to “Today”approved. For example, you could be tested on January 11th and the result is valid for a visit to a bar or restaurant on January 18th. In other words, if you have yourself tested tomorrow, according to this regulation, you should definitely do a new test again.
The 48-hour rule, in turn, could mean that you have to do an antigen test up to three times by the planned end of the lockdown on January 24.
So one can look forward to the federal regulation.
It is vaccinated
From Monday, the vaccinations in the local old people’s and nursing homes will continue. Vaccination takes place (on a voluntary basis) in the homes in Bad Kreuzen (district of Freistadt), in Wolfern (district of Steyr-Land), in Maria Schmolln (district of Braunau), in the senior citizens’ center Pichling (Linz), in Sierning (district of Steyr Land) and in Eberschwang (District Ried).
