In February Awoei had four singles recorded, van Lovesick, Pa, Is Dit Alles and van Okee. Now they have recorded a clip of Smoorverl Liefde. De Bruijn: “Due to corona, everything has been canceled after this year for three performances.” Awoei comes from the Bergen op Zoom region and started last year with Pim de Bruijn (Bergen op Zoom) as bass player and singer, Robbert-Jan Willeboordse (Hoogerheide) as guitarist and singer, Mike van Reijen (Bergen op Zoom) on drums , René Goedemans (Zegge) on the keys, Gert Maas (Lepelstraat) as rapper and trumpet player, Peter Maas (Bergen op Zoom) on the trombone and Ingrid van der Heijden (Roosendaal) on the saxophone.
“We only performed three times in a year full of planned gigs. Due to corona, they have all been canceled”, said Pim de Bruijn, “next year we hope that we can catch up this year.”
