Los Angeles. Left-hander Alex Vesia, Venezuelan right-hander Brusdar Graterol and Venezuelan infielder Miguel Rojas were added to the Los Angeles Dodgers roster for the World Series that begins this Friday against the New York Yankees.
While outfielder Kevin Kiermaier and right-handers Evan Phillips and Venezuelan Edgardo Henriquez were left out of the squad.
Vesia was left out of the team that won the National League Championship Series after suffering an intercostal injury warming up in Game 5 of the division series on October 11 against San Diego.
Rojas has not played since the third game against the Padres on October 8 due to an adductor injury.
Graterol has been out since Sept. 24 with inflammation in his throwing shoulder. Graterol pitched three scoreless innings in the 2020 World Series against Tampa Bay. This season he was limited to seven appearances in the regular season.
Los Angeles will have 13 pitchers and 13 position players.
The Yankees have not announced their final roster.
