At noon on Tuesday, after a police operation and with the assistance of OPKE police officers. was located and immobilized inside a house in the area of Pallini.
It is noted that in order to prevent his arrest, he had hidden inside an elevator shaft of his house where he was spotted by the police.
Regarding the 44-year-old’s modus operandi, he had gone to jewelry stores on two occasions where, at gunpoint, he removed jewelry with a total value of more than 15,000 euros.
In his possession and inside his house, a samurai-style sword, a mobile phone, clothing used during the robbery in Nea Makri as well as a car as a means of commission were found and confiscated.
From the conducted investigation, two cases of robberies were solved.
The arrested person was taken to the competent Prosecutor.
