Kamilya, the seven-year-old girl who died after being hit by a motorbike on Thursday 29 August in Vallauris in the Alpes-Maritimes, was buried on Thursday, September 5, in Tunisia. Just before leaving, his father confided on the show “66 minutes” on M6.
“We heard a noise, a few seconds later we heard our son say ‘Mom, Kamilya is dead’. I see my daughter on the ground, there is blood, she is not moving anymore. There were people, there was the biker, at that moment, I asked him what happened, he told me: ‘I’m sorry'”, his father painfully remembers.
Following the accident, The family has filed a lawsuit against the municipality of Vallauris : “I just hope his death serves as a lesson.“I have nothing against the city hall, I have nothing against the department, but there is a decision that was supposed to be taken some time ago and it was not taken,” he explains.
“There have already been accidents, Kamilya is not the first on this avenue, and at this rate, it will not be the last. Sit around a table and find solutions“, the child’s father intimates. “I can still see through the window, in the street, my daughter’s blood and on that street, I don’t want to see any more blood“, he concludes.
The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man, was on the back wheel at the time of the collision. After his indictment, He was released under judicial supervision the time of the investigation. The prosecution has appealed this decision which will be examined on September 10.
