Doctors were shocked…a live fly was found in a man’s intestines Mix

Ammon – Doctors in the American state of Missouri were astonished after they found a fully-grown fly living inside the intestines of a patient who was undergoing a routine endoscopy, according to what the American Journal of Gastroenterology recently reported.

The magazine explained that this strange incident occurred with a 63-year-old man, who had a fly living inside his intestines, according to Al Hurra TV.

The man had come in for a routine colon cancer screening earlier this year. Doctors at the Missouri hospital performed a colonoscopy, a procedure in which a camera is inserted into the intestine to check for any abnormalities, tumor cells or ulcers.

During an endoscopy of the colon, the area at the top of the large intestine, doctors found a live fly that had somehow escaped stomach acid.

The doctors said: “This case represents an extremely rare discovery with a colonoscopy. This case constitutes a mystery that must be solved to find out how that fly got into the colon.”

The patient stated that he did not eat any food the day before the endoscopy, and that he only drank laxative fluids that remove all food and waste from the intestines.

A day before that (48 hours before the endoscopy), the patient explained that he ate pizza and pieces of lettuce, but did not see any insects in his food.
