Doctors sent to court in case of woman who died of cold, in the field | Romania

In March, an 83-year-old woman was left in her pajamas and slippers at Tractorul hospital and was later found dead of cold in a field.

Two doctors have been sent to court over the case of the woman who left hospital and died in a field.

Eight months ago, an 83-year-old woman was left in her pajamas and slippers from the hospital in Tractorul and was later found dead of cold in a field on the outskirts of Brașov.

Following the investigations by the Public Health Directorate of Braşov, it emerged that the doctor on duty, Eva Ionel, was absent that evening, carrying out an illegal shift with another doctor from Sf Gheorghe, Veronica Grigore.

The doctor at the Tractorul hospital in Brașov had his contract terminated following the investigation and the doctor in charge of the guards received a written summons.

Now, the two doctors involved have been indicted by the prosecutors of the Braşov Court of Appeal.

In the case of Dr. Eva Ionel, the criminal investigation is launched under the aspect of the commission of the crimes of abuse in service and complicity in falsifying documents, and in the case of Dr. Veronica Grigore of the Sf Gheorghe hospital, under the aspect of the commission of the crimes of complicity in service abuse and forgery of documents.
