In Lithuania, at the Klaipeda University Hospital, doctors removed more than a kilogram of nails, screws, nuts and other foreign bodies from a man’s stomach. It is reported by BBC.
According to doctors, within a month after giving up alcohol, the man swallowed metal objects. Some of the items recovered during the operation were up to 10 cm long.
Surgeon Sarunas Dailidenas called this “a unique case”. The surgery lasted 3 hours.

Currently, the patient’s condition is stable, he is under medical supervision.
