Doctors of the World is the German section of the international humanitarian organization Médecins du Monde/Doctors of the World. Doctors of the World is committed to ensuring that everyone everywhere can assert their right to health – with medical help and political work.
In the open.med berlin-lichtenberg project, we advise and care for people without health insurance or with difficult access to the healthcare system during consultation hours. The majority of our patients belong to vulnerable groups. In addition to medical care, we support these people with socio-legal and psychosocial advice. The main goal of the project is to (re)integrate patients into the regular healthcare system.
From May 2023 we will be offering general medical consultations twice a week. You should be available for consultations once or twice a month.
