Doctors gathered a hand of a wounded policeman in Kiev

Patrolman wounded in Kiev underwent one operation

A shot from behind a closed door shattered policeman Sergei Vasilenko’s right hand. Doctors are fighting to save her.

Kiev patrol policeman Sergei Vasilenko, wounded the day before by a man in a high-rise building in the Goloseevsky district of the capital, underwent surgery. Doctors are trying to save his hand. This was announced on Wednesday, July 7, by the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department Alexei Biloshitsky on his page in Facebook.-

“The maximum assistance is provided for treatment and rehabilitation, but the process will be long and difficult. And of course, the result is still unknown,” he wrote.

He specified that the name of the wounded patrol officer is Sergei Vasilenko, he is 27 years old.

“He joined the patrol police in 2019. The young man is a former soldier with good health and is fond of motor sports,” Biloshitsky said.

He noted that over the course of two years of his service, Vasilenko has repeatedly shown courage and strong-willed qualities.

“Today, while on duty, Sergei was seriously wounded by a shot from a gun at the door. This is a situation that proves once again that danger awaits the patrolmen even where they never expected it. And any call can be the last,” the law enforcement officer emphasized.

As reported, today the patrol officers received information about the conflict in the apartment and went to the scene. When the police arrived at the scene, the landlord did not want to open the door, after which fired a gun… A policeman and a civilian were injured as a result of the shot.
