Dzanardi has gained fame in sports with his perseverance and selflessness. On September 15, 2001, in a CART series race in Germany in a Dzanardi car, which went out of the boxes, Alex’s Tajani car was hit at a speed of about 320 kilometers per hour. Taljani was not seriously injured in the accident, but Dzanardi’s life was endangered for several days. The doctors managed to save his life, but Dzanardi lost both legs.
