The IGJ can no longer guarantee the quality of the vaccines once they arrive at the GP. “There are high requirements for a shot when it comes to cooling, transport and shelf life,” says the spokesperson. Medicines that have already been delivered to doctors for their patients may therefore not be traded. “Not even when it’s free, and for a good cause.”
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport also acknowledges that “some” of the vaccines will most likely be destroyed.
