A junior doctor has been ‘withdrawn’ from his training after admitting he sent sexual messages and images to a ’13 -year-old Liverpool woman.
A lawyer for James Peter Farthing told the court of the doctor’s ’emotional struggles’ while working long hours on the Covid front during the pandemic, MEN reports.
Farthing, 28, of Wilmslow who worked for the NHS in Stockport, admitted his guilt to magistrates before appearing at Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday (September 14).

The charges he faced were related to conversations he had online with a ‘girl’ who he thought was 13 years old, but was actually an undercover police officer.
Farthing spoke to the ‘girl’ on Kik, under the username ‘majorsc ** k,’ said Fiona Clancy, the accuser.
He also spoke to her on Snapchat in March, saying she was 23 and from Leeds.
The ‘girl’ was called ‘Beth’ and was said to be from Liverpool.
The police officer used a photo of kittens to portray how young he was, Ms. Clancy said.
Farthing asked ‘Beth’ if she liked ‘older boys’ and if she would send her a photo.
‘Beth’ told him: “I’m 13 years old, by the way.” Farthing replied, “Great. Are you willing to role play or sexting? ”
He asked to see her body and offered to show her his penis.
The ‘girl’ said she was concerned about submitting a photo, and Farthing assured her that if she didn’t include her face, it would be fine.
Revealing that the conversations were moved to Snapchat, Ms Clancy said: “The fact that the undercover officer was 13 was reiterated, but the sexual conversations continued. “

The undercover officer then sent a photo of a young woman in clothes. Farthing sent a photograph of his penis.
Farthing sent a message: “I really want to touch your body and see how you look naked.” Then he sent another photo of his penis.
