(ANSA) – PALERMO, NOV 26 – A doctor was attacked by a patient at the Villa Sofia hospital in Palermo. The man, a forty-year-old, punched the doctor on duty in the emergency room in the face. He was reported. The intervention of a KSM security guard was providential and blocked the patient, followed by specialists from the drug addiction service, until the arrival of the police who identified him and escorted him out of the hospital. According to an initial reconstruction, the man had spent the night at Villa Sofia. As soon as the doctors suggested psychiatric counseling, the attacker began to rail against the 39-year-old doctor, threatening her with death and trying to hit her. Some punches did not land only thanks to the intervention of a security guard who blocked the blows with his body, blocking the attacker until the arrival of a patrol from the Armr mobile unit.
