Beaten to death in his doctor’s office by a convicted felon convinced he had a serious infectious disease of the spine. Since the afternoon of last Thursday, the immunologist Francesco Le Foche, 65 years old, has been hospitalized with a reserved prognosis at the Umberto I polyclinic with facial cranial trauma, fractures to the face, in particular of the nasal bones and of the left eye socket, following the blows received by a 35-year-old convicted felon who had entered his medical office in via Po, Salario district, for a consultation.
The aggression
Suddenly, according to the police reconstruction, the man flew into a rage and attacked the doctor, also famous for having participated in some TV programs during the Covid period, repeatedly hitting him in the face inside his office. The secretary and some patients who were in the waiting room immediately called 112, numerous police cars rushed to the scene: the officers blocked the man, Renato M., who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder .

The provision was validated on Friday morning in Piazzale Clodio and the man was transferred to the Regina Coeli prison. We are now investigating to understand whether in the past the doctor was the victim of similar attacks by the same person.
