Do you want a refund? Scammers impersonate Vodafone employees

“We have detected e-mails that appear to have been sent by Vodafone, but in fact contain links to other websites and are fraudulent,” Vodafone staff warned.

According to them, the fraudulent e-mails captured so far have a subject that reads, for example, “Vodafone Refund Notice”. Of course, other variants are not excluded. The e-mail invites you to click on the link “muj.vodafone.cz/refund”, which Vodafone does not use in practice at all. The notified address actually points to a completely different page, which is not on the vodafone.cz domain.

“Vodafone is not the sender, if you look closely at the sender’s address, you will see that the actual sender’s address has nothing to do with Vodafone,” the operator’s representatives warned.

Several fraudulent e-mails, which by the way are sent to people who have nothing to do with Vodafone, went to the website “vodafone-gift.com/vodafone/”. These are currently blocked. However, it is very likely that cybercriminals will move the fraudulent offer to a completely different address. So caution is still in place.

“Do not reply to the e-mail and delete it immediately. The stated information on the amount to be paid or refunded is fictitious, “Vodafone employees concluded, adding that fraudsters are primarily concerned with luring sensitive personal data. But in the same way, confidants can lose money.
