Customers of the popular Lidl network can rub their hands. We have great information for them. They will pay less for their purchases in a few days than before. The management of the Polish branch of the sales giant informed about the changes, which were introduced permanently.
Lidl reacts to the changing situation
Undoubtedly, Lidl often introduces many promotions to the assortment it sells. However, they are usually periodic, lasting for example 7 days. However, the reduction, which will start in a few days, i.e. from July 1, will be permanent. A popular discount will lower the prices of around 1,000 products. All because of a change to a lower VAT rate, which is introduced by the Ministry of Finance.
The current situation is not the best for Poles. Due to the epidemic, many of our countrymen have financial problems. It is for this reason that the management of Lidl Polska has taken these steps.
The world economy, and consequently all of us, have faced an unprecedented crisis. Each of us analyzes our home budget more closely and looks at expenses. We see that price, its affordability, more often than usual is the main factor when it comes to purchasing decisions.
Ensuring that the full value of the reduction in the VAT rate of selected products is transferred to consumers is another support towards strengthening our clients’ budgets
Lidl in the communication does not hide that: “Thanks to such reductions throughout the year, it may turn out that we have saved up to several hundred zlotys.”
What can we buy cheaper in a popular discount store?
At the moment Lidl has over 700 supermarkets in our country. They will all sell the selected assortment cheaper than before. As we mentioned, the goods for which VAT has been reduced will be cheaper. The group of such products will include: bread, part of the dairy assortment, fruit, vegetables, articles for babies and children, part of nuts and hygiene products for women.
Let’s move on to specific examples. The reduction will cover, among others, the following goods, which can be found on the shelves of the popular Lidl network:
Fitness breakfast roll 0.96 PLN instead of 0.99 PLN
Baguette with garlic butter 2.41 PLN instead of 2.49 PLN
BIO rye bread 5.07 PLN instead of 6.19 PLN
Low-salt cucumbers (700 g) 5.81 PLN instead of 5.99 PLN
Pilos yogurt with cereal grains costs PLN 1.54 instead of PLN 1.59
Alesto shelled almonds (200 g) PLN 10.66 instead of PLN 10.99
XL Lupil nappies PLN 18.90 instead of PLN 19.49
Siempre normal panty liners PLN 3.87 instead of PLN 3.99
