Do you prom and rap a lot? Then you should read this

Researchers at the American Research Institute of the Rome Foundation and French Danone Nutricia Research have come to this airy conclusion.

Medicine professor Olafur Palsson at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine has led the study.

He says this to Gizmodo:

– Air has a negative effect on people’s physical and emotional well-being.

6,000 adults from the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico participated in the survey.

Participants had to answer questions about whether they experienced – or did not experience – airy symptoms, such as bloating, promping and bad breath.

Afterwards, they had to answer questions about both physical and mental health.

The results of the survey were published during the organization United European Gastroenterology’s annual conference, which is taking place in Vienna this week.

The participants who stated that they experienced being stressed also stated that they had a lot of air in their bodies.

– Gas-related symptoms such as stomach upset and belching are not taken seriously, and receive little attention in medical research. Our results show that it has a negative effect on people’s physical and mental health, says Olafur Palsson.

81 percent of the participants stated according to EurekaAlert that they had prompted a lot in the last 24 hours, while 60 percent had experienced rumbling in the stomach.

58 percent stated that they raped a lot.

– I think that the most remarkable and surprising finding in our study is that almost all adults experience daily gas-related symptoms, Palsson says to the website, and continues:

– Having many of these common symptoms has a connection between more depression, anxiety and stress, in addition to a general impaired quality of life.

The study also showed that there is no correlation between bloating and BMI or body weight, and that the participants who exercised experienced minor air problems.

Research Institute of the Rome Foundation and French Danone Nutricia Research emphasize that the study is not completely finished, and that more research should be done on the connection between air in the body and mental health.
