Do you like filters? (Instagram, Snapchat, tiktok)

First of all: A filter is a “help” for people who don’t understand much about image processing themselves. You can use it as a starting point, but if you take long-term photography, you should perhaps read something into image processing yourself and experiment yourself.

Once you have recognized the problem, you can tackle it: look at yourself in the mirror, have yourself photographed from different perspectives in different situations, see what looks good and what does not look good.

Also look at celebrities, models etc. without make-up or from private recordings (they are sometimes published). They don’t look any different from the average, everyone has their flaws.

A filter can show you how you could ideally be seen. The filter can only iron out what is there, so if you like yourself with a filter, you’ll also find yourself good without a filter, but you just have to accept small flaws that JDER has from us, including the models or actors!

Pro filter: This gives you a uniform look on social media.

Contra filter: You didn’t get the look yourself, but adopted it and if the filter is gone, is set, you post somewhere else, etc., you can’t reproduce it. So you should learn image processing or, if you take photos of yourself / people, learn to pose, learn how to make good use of daylight, learn camera settings, learn body tension, pay attention to your facial expressions, etc. You can still influence a lot!
