There are currently around 4,000 ATMs in our country, a number that has halved in 8 years. There will be even fewer in the next few years, because the 4 biggest banks still want to close quite a few. Cash is still the most used means of payment in points of sale in Europe. 6 out of 10 Europeans prefer to shop with cash. In our country it is about 45%.
