The Urban Environment Agency is struggling to find a new host. Therefore, the first part of this year’s ski season will be somewhat different than usual at Mariholtet.
In Østmarka, by the lake Elvåga, is Mariholtet Sportsstue. The brown-stained cabin is owned by Oslo municipality and is a popular destination both summer and winter.
Today’s hosts, the couple Jan Erik and Kristin Nordby, have lived and breathed for Mariholtet since 2001, together with their three daughters. The family has lived here and the daughters have grown up. Together they have served baked goods to the people of the country six days a week.
