Windmills drive residents of Meeden and the surrounding area to despair. If it is up to the participants of our Theorem of the day, there will be no new windmills on land. These do not belong there, according to 77 percent of the voters.
The inhabitants of Meeden complain about the heavy hum of the mills, which keeps them awake and drives them almost mad. Windmills also cause nuisance elsewhere in the country. Local residents complain about noise and horizon pollution. Some people are afraid of accidents, such as breaking a wick.
Climate targets
Windmills produce clean energy. They are necessary to achieve the climate goals. But if so many people suffer from it, is it wise to place them on land? Or should we say: windmills only belong at sea. There they catch a lot more wind and they are not a burden to anyone.
77 percent of the participants in our Statement of the Day agree with this. They believe that the wind turbines no longer belong on land.
