Small businesses at street level in Oslo are struggling. This has led the people of Oslo to fear that large chains will take over if the small ones go bankrupt. They will fight to keep the distinctiveness of the city.

The message has received a lot of attention after the campaign “Keep Oslo” on Grünerløkka. At the end of November, posters appeared in shop and restaurant windows with well-known logos such as Starbucks, Mcdonalds and Cubus.
