Czechs have to pay higher and higher taxes all the time, as well as various other taxes. It is an unpleasant financial burden that many despair. But the truth is that if you know your way around, you can also get a lot of money back from the state. And often even more than what you pay for it.
Why not use it
You just have to accept that you will be asking for all kinds of subsidies and grants. But that’s just the way it is. The Czech Republic has adopted a redistributive economy model. But why not take advantage of it and ask for money that everyone agrees on?
Currently, everyone who has a garden can improve. He can apply for 105,000 crowns from the Dešťovka program, which runs as part of the famous New Green Savings. “The simplest systems are supported in all residential buildings in the Czech Republic,” informs the portal Dotace Dešťovka.
And really, everyone who has at least a piece of garden is eligible. These are, for example, owners of family houses, terraced houses, but also various welfare groups. In short, if you have a place that needs watering, you’ve won.
It really pays off
The point here is not to use precious tap water for irrigation. As is known, water is becoming scarcer and in the future it will be necessary to preserve it. Rainwater, which can be captured by a special system and then used, is ideal for irrigation. Advanced technologies then make it possible to use the so-called gray water, ie the waste water. You can also bring water.
You get the 105,000 crowns for a system that captures rainwater and gray water. But even for a normal raincoat, you can get around 60,000 crowns, which is very nice. It will pay for most of the costs without any problems, so it can be described as a very generous subsidy, which would be a shame not to use it. This is because you can save thousands of crowns every year on water, especially if you have a larger garden.
