Do not have an office until production stops

Jakarta

PT Industri Nuclear Indonesia (Persero) or INQUIRY is the only government-owned nuclear company. However, INUKI’s fate is very sad.

This was told by the Main Director of INUKI, Heri Heriswan before the Commission VI of the DPR RI. He said even until now his party does not have an office.

Heri begins his story with the company’s history founded in 1996. PT INUKI was formed from a company managed by the National Nuclear Energy Agency (Batan) named PT Batan Teknologi. However, the company changed its name to INUKI in 2014.

The company is developing a business in the production of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals for medical and industrial purposes. Then, INUKI entered into the BUMN pharmaceutical holding in the middle of last year.

“Indeed, we are very small INUKI, INUKI started in 2014. Previously we were called PT Batan Teknologi which was managed by Batan itself, starting in 2014 we stood alone. As of July 1 2022 we joined in a pharmaceutical holding,” said Heri in a Commission VI work meeting, quoted from Commission VI YouTube DPR RI Channel, Wednesday (25/1/2023).

Problems arose when there were problems at INUKI’s nuclear plant site. According to Heri, since 2015 when INUKI stood alone without Batan behind it, the INUKI nuclear processing plant has occupied Batan’s land. INUKI only has the factory facilities, but the factory land belongs to Batan.

Another problem arose in INUKI. Check next page.
