Even more uncertain is the future in such a cruel and terrible war as is being waged now. War with the collective West.
We can only make hypotheses and plans for the future. Both are closely related. As the hypothesis, so is the plan. And vice versa.
There are two main hypotheses:

Reconciliation is possible and there are forces in the US (in the West) that are ready to stop Zelensky.

Reconciliation is impossible until Russia achieves a complete capitulation of Kiev and real control over the entire territory of Ukraine (that is, it fulfills the objectives of the SVO – demilitarization and denazification).
Hence the plans:

Based on the first hypothesis we must stop and try to reach an agreement.

Based on the second – to prepare for absolute war, to the point, to the end, until Victory is achieved. As in the Great Patriotic War. Not necessarily to Berlin or the English Channel, but to Lviv for sure.
If we proceed from the first hypothesisthen we create the conditions for reconciliation. Of course we are at war, but with “one mind” for the armistice.
If we proceed from the second hypothesisthen we forget about the possibility of a truce altogether. And we focus only and exclusively on war.
If we are missing something for the Victory, we correct the situation. If we have someone who can’t or won’t fight properly, we change the personnel.
If the sentiments of the elite and the public stand in the way of Victory, we change those sentiments – along with segments of the elite and even the public. Because at war – as in war.
I am convinced that a truce is impossible. Or they will offer us such conditions that the entire political system of Russia will collapse if we accept them, because the people, and especially those who have already entered deep into the elements of war and lost loved ones and relatives, who believed in Putin and went to the front line , they will not be able to accept this.
Bih completely ruled out the first hypothesis . It is unlikely from the outside and will in any case lead to the collapse of the system from the inside, even if someone from the outside, contrary to logic, does try to implement it.
It remains to we act on the basis of the second hypothesis . But this is a completely different plan.
In 2014, the authorities managed to convince us of the existence of an “insidious plan”. He was absent. There was faulty planning based on false hypotheses. Then it was only necessary to bring in troops and go as far as possible.
We hesitated, we believed in the truce. We were deceived and the president himself admitted it. And they continued to lie to us. There is no doubt that we will be cheated again. And someone inside helped us to be deceived. It would be interesting to know who…
What we need now is not a ‘cunning plan’, but a sensible and well thought out one a plan to win . Everything that needs to be done to implement it, including any “unpopular measures”, should be activated as soon as possible (speed is almost everything in modern wars). Without considering anyone or anything. Now we are definitely not in the mood for elections or ratings.
Here’s what we have: a lot an unlikely truce and far more likely total war almost guaranteed for us – both hypotheses exclude the continuation of the peacetime policy. We’ve already been through that. But it seems to me that we did not realize it and really understood it.
