The attraction was closed after three people attempted suicide in one year. The Vessel is about 45 meters high and consists of 154 different staircases.

After the suicide attempts, several proposals were made to improve the safety of the attraction. One of the ideas was to raise the glass barriers. That writes the New York Post.

Ultimately, it was decided to only allow visitors in groups of at least two. There will also be more security at The Vessel.
