Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – In the last two weeks there has been a significant increase in confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia. But apparently this is not the culmination of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. So when is the peak?
“The peak is not yet. If it is above the top, maybe the first ramps will not go up and last. But (this) continues to rise, again climbing the top,” said Epidemic Observer at the University of Indonesia (UI) Pandu Riono to CNBC Indonesia, as quoted Monday (21 / 9/2020).
Pandu Riono cannot even predict when the peak of cases in Indonesia will occur. The reason is, all of this depends on the handling and how the targets are being targeted by the government.
“The target is Pak Jokowi, not the government. The target must be calculated properly. It must be translated into program operational activities,” he said again.
Although in the end it can be predicted by mathematical calculations, in fact it is not easy to do. This is because he called the Covid-19 case in Indonesia the endless journey of the first wave.
“Maybe (the peak) is next month, but it could be December,” he said.
Until Sunday, (9/20/2020) the number of positive cases of the corona virus (Covid-19) had increased by 3,989 cases. The number of additions was lower than the previous day, Saturday (19/9) which added 4,168 people, the highest record of additions.
Meanwhile, the number of patients who recovered on Sunday reached 2,977 cases and as many as 105 died.
