KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. RI’s richest man, Budi Hartono, disagrees with the imposition of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which will take effect today, Monday (14/9/2020). Regarding this, he wrote to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.
In his letter, the owner of the Djarum Group business conglomerate considered the implementation of the PSBB by the Governor of DKI was not the right step. He then explained a number of ways that the government, especially DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, could do instead of imposing the PSBB.
First, the recommended way is enforcement of rules and sanctions for indiscipline of a small proportion of citizens. The duty to impose such sanctions or penalties is the authority of the Regional Head, in this case the Governor of DKI Jakarta.
“So don’t because of the increasing number of cases infected with Covid-19, then the Governor takes a shortcut decision that does not solve the real problem,” Budi wrote in his letter which was exposed on the Instagram of Former Polish Ambassador, Peter F Gontha, @petergontha, Sunday (13 / 9/2020).

SecondThe central government and local governments must increase the isolation capacity of the community so that it does not exceed the maximum capacity of the ICU in Jakarta. This insulation capacity can be exemplified by the isolation containers built in Port Singapore. Indonesia can build insulating air-conditioned containers on vacant lots.
Third, the government needs to carry out testing, isolation, tracing (tracking), and treatment. Because so far there are still many shortcomings in terms of isolation and contact tracing.
