Two policemen from Seattle (Washington, USA) shot and killed a man on Wednesday, whose identity has not been released, when he approached them brandishing and waving a knife blood stained, report KIRO 7. The local Police Department published a recording showing the episode, as it was captured by a body camera of the agents.
At one point (not recorded), officers tried to apply a less lethal weapon, but the device was ineffective.
In the recording, you can hear how the police officers order the man to stop. However, instead of doing what is requested, the individual keep getting closer to the agents, while yelling at them: “do it, do it, please kill me.” Moments later several shots are fired and the man falls to the ground.
Meanwhile, the local Police Responsibility Office launched an investigation to clarify the facts, while the two agents have been positions on administrative leave, a standard procedure for this type of case.
