Then what about the canteen and student activities at school face-to-face in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic?

Are canteens and student activities eliminated or will they continue to be held during face-to-face schools in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic?

One of the student activities in school is extracurricular activities.

Generally, this extracurricular is held after school with various activities such as traditional dance, basketball, soccer, and many more.

It seems that during the face-to-face school, extracurricular activities will be eliminated.

“For extracurricular activities we eliminate it until the pandemic is completely gone,” explained Rini Marini S.Pd as a teacher at SMK Ar Rahman Tangerang.

In addition to extracurricular activities, generally children who are in SMP and SMK have student activities such as OSIS or others.

Rini admitted that such student activities can only be done online.

“So far, during the pandemic, for example, like national holidays or religious holidays, usually just live streaming,” said Rini.

Later, students only need to watch the video that is broadcast or sent and send the proof.

“So children only watch on YouTube via school streams or via video broadcast to class groups which they have to watch on screenshots to be able to watch,” he said.

“Like that, there’s never face to face,” said Rini.

Meanwhile, for the canteen, Rini admitted that it seems that it will still be opened.

“For the canteen, that’s because the learning system is only half a class, maybe it’s a bit loose, not too full,” said Rini.

And later Rini admitted that there would be further planning regarding the canteen for students at the moment face to face school already held.

“Or we will prepare the children so they don’t crowd. What are the changes,” said Rini.
