The national director of Tax Revenue, Óscar Orué, highlighted the agreement signed this week with the head of the Social Security Institute (IPS), Jorge Brítez, to improve control of compliance with social security obligations.
Through this Inter-institutional Cooperation Framework agreement, it is expected to achieve more efficient and effective work, from the different functional areas of each institution.
It allows cooperation and coordination between the two institutions to organize, coordinate and promote the exchange of relevant information and the necessary cooperation to control compliance with obligations regarding social insurance administered by the IPS.
The agreement provides for cooperation between the parties to strengthen the formalization of labor, promote the use of technological tools, exchange of information and training. The agreement will last for two years and will come into effect upon signature.
“We are honored to work together in strengthening the IPS, following President Peña’s directive to work in coordination in the public sector. The goal is to be formal, and that is the only way to move forward,” said the director of the DNIT.
In addition, the areas that will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating and guaranteeing that all the articles of the aforementioned agreement will be identified by the parties. The DNIT Executive Manager is responsible for following up and monitoring the implementation of the agreement as well as the specific agreements.
“It is known very often that employers do not send everything they should for the wage workers they have. This agreement will allow us to increase revenue and invest more in health,” said the head of the IPS.
35 THOUSAND NEW TAXPAYERS FROM JANUARY TO YEAR
Orué confirmed that in four months, that is, between January and April this year, the DNIT attracted 35 thousand new taxpayers, which “means not only the creation of jobs, but more development economic,” he told Radio Nacional.
The increase in the number of taxpayers also meant that he achieved the goal in eight months of management and will exceed 400 million dollars in collection.
He pointed out that all management was done electronically in the Tax Undersecretary, a tool that must be repeated and consolidated in the institutions in the next 4 years.
