DNB breaks with it company Sanderink | Financial

DNB is preparing for a new tender, a spokesperson confirmed in response to reports in the professional journal Computable. The company of the discredited Sanderink can participate in the new tender.

DNB confirms that the current contract with Centric provides for a possibility for “Centric can bid for the new tender, as well as other parties,” says the DNB spokesperson. DNB says it will tender in order to ‘get the most out of the market’ and does not want to respond to the commotion surrounding Centric and owner Gerard Sanderink.

Things have been restless at Centric and other Sanderink companies for some time now. Since the billionaire became friends with self-proclaimed cyber security specialist Rian van Rijbroek, he got into a fight with almost the entire board of Centric.

The arrival of Van Rijbroek also raised eyebrows at DNB. DNB employees have not forgotten that the Brabant cybercharlatan had accused them of a lack of knowledge about cybersecurity when entering into the it contract.

Reports about Sanderink and Van Rijbroek nevertheless played no role in the decision to opt for a new tender, the DNB spokesperson said.

Insiders find it remarkable that DNB is waiving the option to extend. Normally, a customer also stays with the IT company during the option years, if they are satisfied. Getting out and hiring another IT company is usually more expensive. Three years ago, Centric took on fifty ex-DNB employees.
