The minister does not know whether such a step will help replenish the army with new recruits and appeals for justice.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, does not know how many men will return from abroad after the suspension of consular services for them. But he considers the previous state of affairs to be unfair. The minister shared these thoughts with The Guardian.
So, commenting on the suspension of consular services for Ukrainian men of mobilization age, Kuleba called it a step towards justice at a time when “the guys in the trenches are very tired.”
“They don’t understand why the government isn’t trying to get more people to join the war,” the minister said.
According to him, it is still unclear how many men will now return, but he considers it unacceptable that some Ukrainians “sit in restaurants” abroad while others die.
Ukraine suspended the provision of consular services for conscripts
As UNIAN wrote, Ukrainian embassies abroad have stopped providing consular services to Ukrainian men of mobilization age since April 23. This has already caused tension in service centers abroad.
Similar restrictions for men are provided for by the recently adopted law on strengthening mobilization in Ukraine. However, the fact is that the law has not yet entered into force, so the application of its norms has not yet begun.
A number of experts have already criticized the actions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which limited the rights of citizens without a clear justification. For example, lawyer Yevhen Zurnadzhi considers the actions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be a “violation of human rights.”
