DKM-Special: The best salespeople from Württembergische Versicherung

During the DKM week we asked insurers about their most creative, customer-friendly and best-selling agents. This time the focus is on Württembergische Versicherung. And the salespeople have their own say and reveal their recipe for success.

Roland Ruhnke is managing director of Ruhnke & Berger GmbH in Karlsruhe, founded in 2001. He shares this with three other managing directors and nine employees, two of whom are trainees. Teamwork is important to him; this is the only way to achieve above-average success.

“This is how we work with each other every day and in a trusting team. I’m particularly proud of that. ”He began his training as an insurance salesman in 1977. He joined Württembergische Versicherung AG in 1983, and in 1986 he had his own agency. “It was important to me right from the start that I was close to my customers, and that the personal relationship that goes with them”, emphasizes Ruhnke, who opened his first insurance office in Karlsruhe in 1991 with his wife.

Since the exclusivity organization at Württembergische Versicherung AG covers a great many different fields, the best agents are not determined according to individual sectors. Because many agents are among the best in several areas. The agile team at Ruhnke consists of well-trained experts in various specialist areas such as cyber insurance, property damage liability and D&O insurance. At Württembergische Versicherung AG, the best agents also actively shape the strategy and its implementation. They advise, for example, as advisory boards on questions of product development and market cultivation. And what makes a good sales representative for Roland Ruhnke? “Reliability, specialist knowledge, clear objectives, being a team player – and above all creativity in customer acquisition and support.”

Frank Henzler and Fabian Henzler is a successful father-son team from Württembergische Versicherung. “We have been a reliable partner at the customer’s side for over 60 years. Our motto is: three generations. Two locations. One principle. Reliability has a name! Insurance office Henzler. “

In 1963, Kurt Henzler founded the Henzler insurance office of Württembergische in Neuffen. His son Frank joined the team in 1989 and took over the agency in 1999. In 2003 the Henzler insurance office moved to the new building in Neuffen. Together with a lawyer and tax advisor on the upper floor, the building completes the service concept. Fabian Henzler has been the third generation to strengthen the agency since 2013.

For young salespeople like Fabian there is the Young Leaders Panel set up by Thomas Bischof, CEO of Württembergische Versicherung. The group of particularly successful young entrepreneurs regularly exchanges ideas with the board of directors and external top managers in workshops on current projects and develops proposals for measures, for example with regard to the digital agency of the future. And in practice, the Henzler family is also investing diligently in the future. A second location was opened in Lenningen in 2013, and a new building is to be built there in 2021. And in Neuffen, too, the office space was expanded this year due to the continued growth. “Living reliability for the customer in practice and not just talking about it,” is the Henzler family’s recipe for success.
